The Gunman – 6.0/10

Interesting locations and good acting; especially from Javier Bardem, who steals every scene he is in. Sean Penn is also good, but the film is a generic action film. I didn’t get why the director was trying to be so cautious with nudity, when he was super explicit in gore and violence; after three different times of the same woman getting naked, you kind of feel tired of the camera tricks to cover her – it’s just about the cinematic language; if the director is going a be explicit, he better be all the way. The best part of the movie were the two sequences in Congo, that are at the beginning of the movie, just before falling in a story full of clichés and predicable turns.
