Far from the Madding Crowd – 7.0/10

Standard

7.0/10

The new Thomas Vinterberg’s movie is not as good as its predecessor, “The Hunt”. It is a strange movie; it has everything, but never connects with the audience. It has great cinematography, amazing acting (especially from Carey Mulligan), the story is interesting most of the time and never boring, good costume design, beautiful landscapes; but at the end it doesn’t feel like if it pays off. It is nothing especial, nothing that you haven’t seen before. Maybe it is because of some of the very stupid motivations of the main character.
